Check out one of Bratz Biz’ new and upcoming young artists, Reese Palmer!  Reese is a grade 6 student from Whistler, BC who has been painting since she could pick up a pencil.  Her favourite medium is watercolours.  This is Reese’s first artisan market but she has been busy perfecting her cards for sometime.  She has sold them as Christmas cards, Valentine’s cards, bookmarks for book clubs, gift tags and cards for all seasons.

Watercolour Birch Trees by Reese

I had a really cool experience with making these cards. It was so beautiful outside that day I decided to take the birch tree cards outside to work on. It was four or five days before Valentine’s day and one of our neighbours saw me and said, “Hey, I forgot to buy my wife a Valentine’s day card do you think I could buy one of your cards with our initials carved into the tree?” and our business was off. Everyone seemed to come by and buy some of our cards. I think I came out with twenty cards and sold every last one. Our community in Whistler is so amazing and I am so happy I get to share my love of art with everyone in it.
